FULTON - William Woods junior setter Brittney Engelbrecht finished with a team-high 47 assists Friday in the Owls' five-set loss to Vanguard by scores of 25-17, 26-24, 20-25, 22-25, 17-19.
Engelbrecht (Helias High School) also had 19 digs and 10 kills in the loss. The 47 assists pushed her season total to 1,001, which ranks 13th in the NAIA.
Sophomore outside hitter Tory Wiley (Helias High School) was third on the Owls with 13 kills in the match and added two digs. She ranks second on the team this season with 260 kills.
William Woods (17-11) will go on the road Tuesday to play at Missouri Baptist.
