College Cross Country: Wilson leads Owls

ST. LOUIS - William Woods senior Kaleb Wilson led the Owls with a top-five finish Saturday at the St. Louis Fall Cross Country Classic held at Forest Park.

Wilson (Linn High School) took third place out of 107 runners with a time of 25:46.30. The William Woods men's team finished fifth out of 13 schools with 151 points.

Also running for William Woods at the meet was sophomore Alex Thompson (Russellville High School), who finished ninth with a time of 26:53.40. Sophomore Jamie Porter (Russellville High School) took 46th place with a time of 28:41.50 and freshman Matt Fringer (Russellville High School) placed 55th with a time of 29:08.60.

In the women's race, William Woods freshman Ryan Esterline (Jefferson City High School) came in 31st place out of 88 runners with a time of 20:56.60. The Owls also finished fifth in the women's team standings with 131 points.
