College Cross Country: Lincoln women 12th at MIAA meet

ELSAH, Ill. - Ja'Ianna Williams clocked in at 26:01.35 to lead Lincoln at Saturday's MIAA Championship, hosted by Lindenwood.

Williams' time was good for 76th.

Lincoln placed 12th with 360 points. Southwest Baptist won the meet with 36 points, beating out Pittsburg State (72).

Willomena Williams turned in Lincoln's second-quickest time of 26:49.42 to finish 81st.

Other Lincoln runners were Terri Baptiste (84th, 27:09.79), Kimona Shaw (89th, 29:30.70) and Shanice Clarke (91st, 33:37.22).

Also competing in the meet was Northwest Missouri State freshman Katie Imhoff (California High School), who finished in 90th place with a time of 29:53.40. The Bearcats finished 10th as a team with 254 points.

The Blue Tigers are scheduled to conclude their season Nov. 5 at the NCAA Division II Central Regional in Sioux Falls, S.D.
