College Football: Robertson scores TD for Westminster

NEW ULM, Minn. - Westminster safety Bret Robertson had a fumble recovery for a touchdown Saturday in the Blue Jays' 48-0 win against Martin Luther.

Robertson (California High School), a senior, recovered a fumble in the second quarter and returned it 23 yards for a touchdown, extending Westminster's lead to 27-0. He recovered a second fumble in the third quarter and added an interception during the final minute of the game.

Robertson also led the Blue Jays with eight tackles (five solo stops) and two tackles for loss.

Junior linebacker Kole Rackers (Blair Oaks High School) had an interception, one of seven takeaways for the Blue Jays, late in the second quarter. He added three solo stops and two tackles for loss.

Senior wide receiver Mike Washington (Jefferson City High School) caught two passes for 38 yards for the Blue Jays. Freshman defensive back Dalton Schmidt (Versailles High School) finished with three solo stops.

Westminster (4-3) will host Northwestern (Minn.) at noon Saturday in Fulton.
