FULTON - Three Lincoln players finished among the top 10 as the Blue Tigers placed third Wednesday at the William Woods Invitational at Tanglewood Golf Course.
The Blue Tigers shot a 606 in the two-day tournament. William Woods won with a 588 with Columbia College finishing runner-up with a 602.
Deaven Vincent placed fourth overall, shooting a 74 during Tuesday's first round before firing a 73 on Wednesday for a two-round total of 147. Blake Lammers finished one shot back of Vincent, carding a 74 in both rounds to tie for fifth at 148.
Gabe Trowbridge (Jefferson City High School) also finished in the top 10, shooting a 153 to tie for ninth on the individual leaderboard.
Trowbridge shot a 78 in the first round, and then improved by three strokes in the second to card a 75.
Logan Taylor finished 16th with a 158 while Drew Geritz (Eugene High School) placed 19th with a 162.
Carson Doerhoff (Eugene High School), Lorenzo Flenoid and Nick Alexander (Helias High School) competed as individuals. Doerhoff took 28th with a 168 while Alexander tied for 30th, shooting a 171. Flenoid shot a 194 for 36th.
Lincoln is back in action Monday in the Holiday Inn Express Classic, which is hosted by Missouri Western State, at the St. Joseph Country Club.
