South Callaway graduate plays all nine positions in college baseball game

CAPE GIRARDEAU - Hunter Leeper made Southeast Missouri University baseball history last Saturday.

Leeper (South Callaway High School) played all nine defensive positions for the Redhawks in their 6-5 loss to the Belmont Bruins in their regular-season finale.

Leeper started the game behind the plate. The senior then made his way to all three positions in the outfield.

He then entered the infield - moving from first to second to third and then shortstop - before pitching to one Belmont batter in the ninth inning.

Leeper had two hits and two RBI while scoring a run in the game.

Southeast Missouri (35-18) is the No. 1 seed in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament that starts Thursday in Jackson, Tenn.
