Kiki Glass, a former assistant coach at the NCAA Division I level, was announced Monday in a press release as the new Lincoln women's basketball assistant coach.

Glass spent five seasons as an assistant coach at USC Upstate, helping the Spartans with their recruiting as they transitioned to the Division I level in 2007-08. She worked primarily with the guards, including Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Year Tee'Ara Copney and Atlantic Sun scoring champion Courtney Hawkins.

"Coach Glass is an exceptionally talented individual who exemplifies the characteristics needed to run a first-class program," Blue Tigers head coach Ayana McWilliams said in the press release. "Not only does she have a great basketball mind, but she is also committed to the overall development of our student-athletes."

USC Upstate won five games in its first season in Division I. Two years later, the Spartans finished with 20 wins.

Following the 2009-10 season, Glass left USC Upstate to coach with her mentor, Kathy Washington, at Therrell High and Grady High in Atlanta. Glass helped both programs until Washington retired this past spring.

Before joining the coaching staff at USC Upstate, Glass played four seasons at Western Carolina. She led the Catamounts to a season-record 21 wins her sophomore season and helped the program to its first berth in the Southern Conference championship game in her junior season. Glass was named to the conference's All-Freshman team during the 2001-02 season and guided Western Carolina to the NCAA tournament her senior year in 2005, leading the team with 3.2 assists per game that season.

In high school, Glass earned all-conference and all-state honors at North Atlanta High School. She was twice named the Atlanta All-City Player of the Year and helped her team to the Class 3A state title in 2000.
