College Wrestling: Johnson posts win

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Chattanooga senior Jared Johnson won his match at 285 pounds Sunday in the Mocs' 34-11 loss to Virginia.

Johnson (Jefferson City High School), ranked No. 14 in the nation by InterMat, won 8-0 against Tyler Love for a major decision. He was one of three Chattanooga wrestlers to win in the dual.

Johnson improved his season record to 8-1 with the win. He has won by fall five times and once each by technical fall, major decision and decision.

Chattanooga (2-2) will wrestle Dec. 16 at Ohio.
