Lady Crusaders blank Rolla

The Helias Lady Crusaders banged out 13 hits Thursday afternoon in a 10-0 victory in six innings against the Rolla Lady Bulldogs at the American Legion Post 5 Sports Complex.

Abbi Pringer, Haley Kempker, Lindsey Steinbeck and Sophia Carr all had two hits each in the win. Pringer drove in three runs, while Kempker scored twice.

Lauren Howell pitched the first five innings, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out 11. Pringer pitched the top of the sixth, allowing two hits and recording one strikeout.

Helias (2-0) will play today and Saturday at the Battle Tournament in Columbia.

In Thursday's JV game, Helias defeated Rolla 4-3. Tori Hartmann and Emily Harrison had two hits each for the Lady Crusaders. Jessica Graessle was the winning pitcher.
