The July 4 Independence Day celebration in Washington, DC, was a great day in America. Every one in America and in the world should have watched and listened to President Trump’s presentation. It was history and foresight, the best speech I have ever heard. We have a president who loves the United States, and wants to make it the best of the best. He understands that we are a Democratic Republic. He respects our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, the laws. He also respects the personnel that enforces the law. He also understands we must have a strong military.
A couple of years ago we had a president that had no respect for any of the above. President Obama would not even honor our flag until had had to as president. When he was a U.S. senator, I witnessed him on more than one occasion with his hands to his side during the National Anthem.
President Trump has given 100 percent effort for the betterment of the United States. The problem he has to fight the Washington Establishment, the swamp, news media and the do-nothing Congress that has about 10 percent approval rating. Sixty percent of them I would not vote for if they ran for dog catcher.
I did not support Trump as a candidate, but have come to realize he is the right president for the 2020s.
The country is doing great under his leadership. It would be even better if he had support from Congress to do what’s right for our country. Let freedom ring.
