Trump’s Christianity defended

Dear Editor:
Mr. Brownstein letter was titled “Have the Basic Tenets of Christianity Changed?” on April 10. He was curious as to how the author of a previous letter could equate Trump as to being a Christian. Well, I’ll try to answer that. Christians aren’t perfect, that is why we are Christians we are always in need of God’s mercy and forgiveness. If we were perfect, then there would have been no need for Jesus to die on the cross and rise again. All throughout the Bible, God has used those that many would deem unworthy, refuse of society and fallen. It is God who made them worthy. Noah was a drunkard, Abraham was old, Moses was a stutterer, Rahab was a prostitute, David was an adulterer and murderer, and Matthew was a dishonest tax collector driven by greed. God, Jesus and even the apostles often mocked people.
The last part of Mr. Brownsein’s letter was basically going over the same lies we have heard over and over, Trump doesn’t call all Mexicans rapists. He is referring to the sex traffickers and gangs especially MS13. He also doesn’t say “All” Muslims are haters of Jews. One does have to admit there are a lot of Muslims in the public eye that do express anti-Semitic views. McCain leaked a fake dossier that started a two-year investigation, so I would be upset too. The last was the sexists remarks, the remarks as I heard them were not about all women, just groupies that follow all famous people. Yes those groupies will allow famous men to touch them anywhere.
One just has to look at the good Trump has done: lower jobless rate, lower unemployment, more jobs, better economy, energy independence, lower welfare rolls, and the list goes on. So yeah, it is a Christian thing. It is one of the greatest hopes there is for all of us, no matter how flawed we are God loves us and still has a purpose for us.

I’m writing in reference to the picture leading the AP article “Barr: ‘I think spying did occur’ on Trump campaign” on the front page of your 4/11/2019 ostensibly liberal-biased newspaper. I wonder how long it took the AP to search for such a ludicrous picture of our attorney general, William Barr, and why they picked that particular one? It would also be very interesting to hear your editor’s discussion as to the why the article with the picture should be included and placed prominently on the front page? Can anyone remember how many idiotic pictures of our most corrupt attorneys general in our nation’s history, Eric Holder or Loretta Lynch, appeared on the front page of any newspaper? If they had, would the left have called it hate speech?
I realize that the liberal media feel that they are God and have the obligation to destroy anyone that does not agree with their socialistic leftist liberal ideology, but we must somehow get back to impartial, respectful and truthful news reporting by journalists if our nation as founded is to survive!
God save us from those who seek to destroy our precious Republic!
Dems support DREAMers over military

Well, well, well, what have the Democrats been up too lately? A New York state bill to provide free college tuition to Gold Star Families was blocked in a committee, a move the bill’s sponsor said sent the wrong message about the state’s priorities. The decision to hold the bill came about two weeks after Speaker Carl Heastie and Higher Education Committee Chair Deborah Glick announced $27 million of the state’s budget would support the Jose Peralta New York State DREAM Act. The act enables illegal immigrant students to be eligible for general and performance-based awards from the New York State Tuition Assistance Program. “With this budget, DREAM’ers in New York will finally be able to step out of the shadows and use higher education to live their American Dream. By including the Jose Peralta New York State DREAM Act in the budget, we are sending a clear message to our immigrant population that we value their contributions to our state, and we are committed to helping them succeed.” I guess that the Democrats in New York do not “value” the sacrifice of their military. So, Democrats in New York are helping illegal immigrants while gold star families, are not being helped. What a way to show support for the military.
Remember people, this is the same legislature that applauded when the democrat governor of New York signed a bill into law, that allowed for infanticide. In addition, the democrat governor of Virginia said that the baby would be made comfortable while the doctor and mother would decide if the baby would live or die. This is clear infanticide. Again, Democrats involved in the killing of not only the unborn but the just born as well.
I would have thought that the Democrats would be happy to have all the migrants coming from Central America, sent to their statuary cities. After all, they offer safe haven and will not notify ICE. What’s the problem? It would be nice if President Trump would send them to Nancy Pelosi’s district, Maxine Waters district, Adam Schiff’s district, Jerry Nadler’s district and several other Democrats that are to numerous to mention in just 400 words. As Oliver Hardy once said, “Well here’s another fine mess you’ve gotten me into.” Most of these do-gooders have the forbidden “walls” around their property, but not along the border. Keep going Democrats.
