Your Opinion: Broadband access not a top priority

On March 2 we were fed another article on the lack of availability of "high speed" broadband in Missouri. The recent articles on the unavailability of "high speed" broadband in Missouri are misleading, if not outright lies. HughesNet's website claims that their 25/3 Gen 5 service is available everywhere in the U.S. with a view of the southern sky. https://www.hughesnet.com/coverage-areas

It is good to know that state politicians have so much money at their disposal that they can arbitrarily ad to the list of "free stuff." They may not have enough money to fix our roads and bridges, they may not have enough to adequately fund our schools, but by golly the governor just "found" $45 million to fund subsidized broadband for some.

It makes one wonder how much other money is available to be "found" for pork projects.
