Climate alarmists are no longer concerned about facts they are now focused on psychology and its use to convince people into supporting climate policies. Dr. Sabine Marx gave a presentation this weekend for the group "Citizens' Climate Lobby," which can be seen on YouTube. The presentation gave an explanation of different techniques to overcome resistance to climate change policies. How fear is necessary to create a reaction in order to promote action (but don't overdo it) and how it is better to frame climate change in terms of losses because people respond better to losses. Because of a finite level of worry one needs to find out what the person you are trying to convince is actually worried about and link it to climate change, because you can link anything to climate change. Create a social connection and find something relatable and local to the person one is trying to convince. The last thing was how to keep climate change fresh by linking new extreme weather events to climate change. These tactics are nothing new the last video that "Citizens' Climate Lobby" promoted started with very similar key points.
The thing is alarmist predictions haven't been coming true and so now they resort totally to perception. How long have we had to listen to claims that the arctic ice caps would be completely gone in summer? It was supposed to be gone two years ago and it's actually increased. How about the claim that our grandchildren maybe even our children will never know what snows is? While I write this it's snowing. How many times did we see in LTE that the oceans are rising and in one letter there was a concern that her nephews and their children would have to deal with the flood of refugees coming from flooded coastal cities especially Florida? The oceans are now falling, the excuse, the ocean floor has dropped .004 of an inch because of all the weight of the excess water. Think of all the money that has been wasted and how much would have been wasted if people had heeded these foundless warnings. The whole thing is about wealth redistribution and a few in power gaining both financially and more power. People need to put aside perception and emotion and look at facts with a logical analytical mind because you are being used.
