Your Opinion: Gaining citizenship

Dear Editor:

There is a bit of fuss at the U.S.-Mexican border. Some people are trying to enter. Others are trying to keep them out. The people trying to keep them out have more guns.

Today, most of the people trying to enter are not U.S. citizens. This can be changed.

When the U.S. chooses to peacefully annex the countries of origin, these people will no longer be foreigners. They will be U.S. citizens. U.S. law will rule the area of origin.

I see separate nation-states as a phase through which humankind is growing. We can do better.
