Your Opinion: Funding belts for buses

Dear Editor:

After watching a news report on seat belts in school buses, I am compelled to appeal to some millionaire out there who doesn't know what to do with all of his money.

The only reason all school buses don't have seat belts is because of money, or lack thereof. We shouldn't expect our school boards to pay for this. They are struggling to pay our teachers decent salaries.

Why can't some sports figure who makes outrageous amounts of money for throwing a ball around step forward to protect all of our children, our future citizens??? We should all be outraged that the top 1 percent of Americans don't feel any moral obligation to save our schools and our children from inadequate funds. Or to feed the hungry, etc. etc. They have enough money to solve all of the problems in this country.
