Recently, Representative Steve King (R-IO) tweeted, "Wilders understands that culture and demographics are our destiny. We can't restore our civilization with somebody else's babies."
He is praising Geert Wilders, a far-right Dutch politician who wants to close his country to Muslims. King further elaborated on CNN "there's an American culture, American civilization. Illegal immigrants live in enclaves and refuse to accept American culture and civilization."
To date, I have been unable to find any criticism or censure of Representative King's xenophobia and racism by even one of Missouri's Republican state or national elected representatives or senators. I hope I am wrong.
