Your Opinion: Tribute to a fallen officer

Dear Editor:

This tribute is to an officer who fell in the line of duty, He did not die but in the performance of his duty; he did what he was paid to do - protect his community. He was viciously attacked by a criminal and was forced to use deadly force to save his own life. As a result he was attacked again by the media, and the politicians of his community, the county and state of Missouri and the president of the United States.

He was forced into seclusion to protect his family. Shame on all of you cowards he did not come to his rescue. This may be a late apology but Officer D. Wilson of the Ferguson P.D. the law abiding citizens of Missouri salute you and if we had a medal of valor to give you, we would. Thank you for your service.
