In a time when we seem to be focused on everything that divides us, it is easy to feel discouraged about the future. But the members of Jefferson City Indivisible aren't discouraged by media messages about division. Indivisible is made up of community members from many different religions, backgrounds and political persuasions. In this group, members understand the importance of setting aside some of their differences to work together for a common goal. They are proving that our differences don't have to divide us.
Next Monday, July 17, at 6:30 p.m., Indivisible is bringing three nationally known speakers to Jefferson City for a Healthcare Forum. The forum is free and open to everyone. It will be held at Lincoln University in Martin Luther King Hall-Thomas Pawley Theater, 812 E. Dunklin St. The speakers will present information that is balanced and nonpartisan. This is a wonderful opportunity for all of us to set aside whatever divides us and come together to learn more about a common concern.
