Dear Editor:
Some of the people that believe you should own guns include George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr. and General Laney. On the other side some of the people that believe you should not own guns include the likes of King George III, Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, Kim Jong ll, Bill/Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. So why are the Clintons and Obama in league with the aforementioned kings, despots and tyrants? Because they believe they are some kind of supreme leader of a government that is served by the people not the other way around.
Daniel Webster must have been thinking of somebody like Obama when he wrote the following: "Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters." "Never forget that everything Hitler did in Germany was legal." Martin Luther King Jr. Thomas Jefferson said, "Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not." The Nazis, communists and socialists never registered or gave up their guns.
All gun and ammunition confiscations occur only after the licensing and registration edicts are issued (sort of like executive orders) or laws are passed. "A system of licensing and registration is the perfect device to deny gun ownership to the bourgeoisie." Vladimir Lenin. In case you're wondering who are the bourgeoisie in America, according to liberals and Democrats it means conservatives, those of the Judeo/Christian persuasion and Republicans. Hitler also used gun registration to register Jews, Catholics and Protestants.
Americans should make no distinction between self-defense against a lone criminal or against a criminal government. Sarah Brady once said, "Our task of creating a Socialist America can only succeed when those who would resist us have been totally disarmed." Why does Brady want a socialist government? "Gun Registration is not enough, waiting periods are only a step, registration is only a step." The prohibition of private firearms is the goal." Attorney General Janet Reno. Aren't elected and appointed government officials sworn to protect the Constitution? Democrats don't think so.
