Dear Editor:
It was an ordinary rain. The creek rose. Folks got rescued.
The need for flood control in the Wears Creek watershed is critical.
As sure as there are "little green apples," the 100-year deluge is coming.
The highest priority of government is the protection of its citizens and their properties. The preparation of a flood control plan for the watershed is a starting point.
