Your Opinion: Kay's reinstatement not appropriate

The Missouri Veterans Commission's reinstatement of Larry Kay sends the message that harassment and discrimination will be tolerated, punished only by a time-out, as if this is pre-school.

Across the country, we are seeing judges give a light slap on the wrist, a virtual pat on the back, to college rapists, expressing more concern for them than for their victims and potential future victims.

Missouri is contributing to the social acceptability of rape culture by tolerating Larry Kay in a position of authority.

Larry Kay must go, and the salary he was paid while the case was investigated should be revoked.
