Four people were injured in a bar fight early Sunday morning at F&J Sports Bar, 5515 Business 50, including one person who was flown to University Hospital in Columbia.

When Cole County sheriff's deputies responded to the bar at about 2:21 a.m., several people were leaving the bar, but no victims were located, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Department.

They later determined that a fight started inside the bar, and someone took out a weapon and fired it. Debris from a ricochet injured people inside the bar and one person was injured from the physical fight.

None of the four victims had actual gunshot wounds nor were their injuries life-threatening.

The investigation is ongoing, the department said.
