Jefferson City man gets three years for burglaries

A former employee of a Jefferson City wireless phone store has been sentenced to three years in prison for pleading guilty to charges in connection with burglaries that occurred at the store in October.

Information on a prior burglary indicated a possible suspect in that case, which led investigators to believe the two break-ins were related.

The suspect, Gregory D. Young Jr., 24, was contacted at his residence in Holts Summit, where evidence linking him to this burglaries was found. Young was arrested and eventually pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree burglary, one county of first-degree property damage and one count of stealing.
