Woman hurt in accident

One person was hurt in a one-vehicle accident Wednesday night in Jefferson City.

Police reports show officers were called at 8:03 p.m. to respond to the crash in the 6900 block of eastbound U.S. 50/63.

The investigation showed a vehicle driven by Brooke Jenkins, 19, of Holts Summit, was going east, just east of the Militia Drive exit, when she lost control of her vehicle on the wet pavement and traveled off the right side of the roadway.

She went down an embankment and struck a tree.

Jenkins, who was not wearing her seat belt, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.
