Nebraska man killed in boating accident

A Nebraska was killed in a boating accident Thursday night at the Lake of the Ozarks in Camden County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports Daniel L. Walters, 43, of Battle Creek, Nebraska, was an occupant in a boat that ran aground into the shoreline at the 71 mile marker of the main channel. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the 9:15 p.m. crash.

The Patrol listed the driver of the boat as unknown. Three other occupants were injured.

Darryn Keith, 48, of Pierce, Nebraska, received serious injuries and was flown by air ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia.

Dan K. Young and Andrew Hrabanek, both 51 and of Battle Creek, were transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach with moderate injuries.
