JC man gets probation

A Jefferson City man was placed on five years supervised probation for pleading guilty to multiple charges after barricading himself in a storage room at a Jefferson City convenience store in February.

Colby Wallendorf, 25, of 6511 Village Road, pleaded guilty to unlawful use of a weapon, resisting arrest and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

According Jefferson City Police, Wallendorf was in the Break Time parking lot on East McCarty Street and showed a knife to two people, threatening them and hitting one of them in the face with newspapers before heading across to the Casey's store on Eastland Drive as police officers arrived on the scene.

Wallendorf then barricaded himself in a storage room in Casey's and refused to come out when officers ordered him to do so.

After a brief standoff, Wallendorf was shocked with a Taser gun and taken into custody.

A controlled substance and a marijuana pipe were found on Wallendorf after he was taken into custody.
