Woman faces drug charges following possible overdose call

A woman faces drug charges following a search on her vehicle and law enforcement dispatched on a possible overdose call in Gravois Mills.

According to the Morgan County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched at about 10:07 a.m. Oct. 3 to a possible overdose. Morgan County Dispatch advised a man was inside a vehicle near Keepsake Road and Missouri 5 in Gravois Mills.

The man inside the vehicle was unresponsive, according to the Morgan County Sheriff's Office. A woman, later identified as Marketae Vrons, was driving the vehicle and said the man allegedly passed out. The man was later transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The Morgan County Sheriff's Office's canine unit alerted on the vehicle and a search was conducted. Deputies recovered a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine and another substance that tested positive for heroin, the Morgan County Sheriff's Office said.

Vrons was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
