Lake Regional Health System welcomes Manisha Jain, M.D., to Lake Regional Clinic in Osage Beach, located at 1057 Medical Park Drive. Dr. Jain, who is board certified in internal medicine, joins Family Medicine Practitioners Randall Barnes, D.O.; Heidi Calipjo, M.D.; Mark Jones, D.O.; and Mark Shen, D.O.; and Pediatrician Trent Russell, M.D., at the Osage Beach clinic.
"We are committed to providing Lake Area residents quality medical care close to home," said Peter Rao, executive director of Lake Regional Medical Group, in a news release. "Dr. Jain has extensive medical experience, and we are pleased to welcome her to our medical staff."
Jain completed medical school and residency training at Harbor Hospital Center in Baltimore. Her professional experience includes serving as an internist providing primary care to adult patients and as a hospitalist providing care to hospitalized patients. She also has worked as a research physician on endocrinology research and on drug trials, according to the news release.
Several of Jain's family members, including her mother and brothers, also are physicians.
"Medicine is our family profession," Jain said. "I became a physician because I have an interest in helping people, and I enjoy primary care because I like to follow up with my patients and provide continuing care."
