Your Opinion: Blatant coverage criticized

Dear Editor:

The big, bold, glaring headline on the front page of the April 21 edition was intriguing to say the least “Michael Sam slams religious objections bill.” Is Sam due such blatant news coverage? Wasn’t it enough when Barack Obama congratulated him on his “coming out?” Why is his objection to the bill so much more important than the support of the bill by John or Suzie Citizen?

In my opinion such news coverage only serves to further insistence that homosexuality is a normal, rational, healthy lifestyle. Anyone with any gumption of the human body knows it is none of those. The in-your-face, you-will-believe-as-I-do-or-I’ll-sue-you attitude of the militants in that population adds more fuel to the flame.

I don’t believe any business owner, believer or non-believer, in Christianity would be overtly unkind or disrespectful to a prospective customer. However the Christian business owner who declines his/her services based religious convictions has a right to do so.

Consider this fact: In the annuals of time America is but a baby nation. Think about all that has been achieved in the 250 years since the birth of our nation and all that has been sacrificed for our freedom

How could that all have happened without the blessing of Almighty God.

Romans 1: 1-32 clearly speaks of God’s wrath for the wickedness of humankind and those who would make evil good and good evil.

II Chronicles 7:14 clearly tells us what we must do to save our America.”If my people who are called by name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face then will I hear from Heavens and heal their land.”
