Two more charged in gun theft

Two more men have been charged in connection with the theft of three guns.

Quashawn Holder, 17, of Holts Summit, and Joshua Davis, 17, of Jefferson City, are each charged with three counts of receiving stolen property.

As of Thursday afternoon, they both were being sought by authorities.

A third man, Semaj Harris, 18, of Jefferson City, was in custody and also charged with three counts of receiving stolen property in this case.

The incident occurred Tuesday night at a residence in the 1200 block of East Elm Street, according to Jefferson City police.

Harris went to the location to possibly purchase several firearms. Harris came with Holder and Davis, and the three were looking at some guns while the victim went downstairs.

That's when, according to relatives of the victim, the three suspects quickly left the home with the guns in their possession.

The witness tried to chase Holder and Davis, but couldn't catch them. He was, however, able to see Harris running out of the house and into some woods behind the home and he was eventually taken into custody.

During an interview with authorities, Harris said he was at the residence where the incident occurred and saw Holder and Davis leave the residence with the guns, each valued at $600.

When authorities showed the victim a photo lineup the victim was able to pick out all three men as those who had committed the crime.

Davis also was found to have an active warrant out for his arrest and a prior arrest for possession of a firearm.
