Camden on the Lake Resort welcomes new management

LAKE OZARK, Mo. -- Camden on the Lake resort's management group, Lodging One Hospitality, recently announced two new additions to the resort's senior management team.

The resort at the Lake of the Ozarks welcomes two seasoned professionals and industry experts to serve as general manager and food and beverage director.

Bryan Drew recently became the new resort general manager. Drew will oversee all operations and lead the resort's continued pursuit of providing a luxury guest experience. He will develop strategies across the enterprise to continually grow the Camden on the Lake Resort brand, according to a news release from the resort owners.

"We are looking forward to the new perspective and fresh ideas Bryan will bring to our operations," said Chris Heinz, president of Lodging One Hospitality, in the news release. "Bryan has a great understanding of the industry and a passion to move Camden into the next level of service and strategy."

Drew is a 30-year veteran of the hospitality industry. He comes to Camden on the Lake resort from the newly renovated Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront Hotel in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he served as general manager, overseeing 333 guest rooms, conference space and nearly $21 million in revenue.

Drew has managed both domestic and international hotels, from the 1,241 luxury room resort in Hawaii to a boutique, 200 suite resort in Jamaica. He has opened or renovated 11 hotels and resorts in the United States, primarily Hyatt and Hilton hotels, according to the news release. He began his career in food and beverage at the Hyatt Regency Hilton Head Island.

"Camden is truly the premier resort experience at the Lake," Drew said. "I am thankful for the opportunity to be surrounded by great staff and a wonderful community, and I look forward to applying my experience to take this unique resort to the next level."

Jason Hodges recently became the resort's new food and beverage director. According to the news release, Hodges is responsible for the vision, direction and development of Camden resort's food and beverage operation, including the award-winning H. Toad's Bar & Grill, H. Toads Entertainment Complex and the banquet service for the resort's 19,000 square feet of event space.

"Jason will work very closely with our general Manager and our Executive Chef who oversees the culinary team and menu creations," Heinz said. "He is already elevating food and beverage offerings, and pushing to raise the bar on customer service for our guests."

Hodges brings 25 years of experience in hospitality management to Camden on the Lake resort, the news release said. He most recently worked as general manager of Texas Land and Cattle Steakhouse for Daystar Restaurant Group in Branson. He previously served as district manager with Mastercorp, overseeing three Wyndham Vacation properties in the Tennessee mountains. Hodges launched his career in Lake Ozark in 1991.

"Camden resort associates are committed to quality and creating memorable guest experiences," Drew said. "We're working on several new initiatives and resort enhancements that we look forward to announcing in the future."

Camden on the Lake resort continues to be the highest-rated hotel at the Lake, and has earned the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for five years running.  This year, the resort's entertainment complex was voted Best Entertainment at the Lake, and H. Toads Chef Chris Messinio won the Silver Cup Chef's Challenge, according to the news release.

Camden Resort was acquired by Camden Resort LP in 2015 and is managed by Lodging One Hospitality.
