Downed power lines closed U.S. 54 for a few hours Thursday at Route V north of Lake Ozark in Miller County.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), a contractor on a road resurfacing project hit the power lines with a truck, causing utility damage at about 2:24 p.m. Thursday with power lines down across the roadway.
The closure initially closed down all four lanes of traffic immediately following the incident. After about an hour, one eastbound and one westbound lane opened, eventually opening traffic completely later in the evening.
