UPDATE: Osage Beach man charged after firing a shotgun during a dispute

UPDATE: An Osage Beach man has been formally charged after firing a shotgun during a disturbance Thursday at a residence on Mace Road in Osage Beach.

According to new information from the Osage Beach Police Department, Deandre D. Foxx, 32, Osage Beach has been charged with assault in the second degree, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. He is being held at the Camden County Jail with no bond.

EARLIER COVERAGE: According to a news release from Osage Beach Police Chief Todd Davis, officers responded to a report of shots fired at approximately 12:32 a.m. Thursday to a residence in the 1000 block of Mace Road.

A 32-year-old man was allegedly attempting to leave the area and was taken into custody without incident, Davis said.

An investigation revealed that the suspect and a woman arrived at the residence, and a disturbance allegedly occurred between the suspect and other individuals, the news release said.

During this disturbance the suspect retrieve a shotgun from his vehicle and fired at least three rounds, causing pellets from one of those rounds to strike a victim in the head causing minor injuries, the news release. The victim was treated at the scene and refused transport to the hospital.
