CALIFORNIA, Mo. - A 2-cent levy increase for the Moniteau County Library District Subdistrict 1 passed 446-103, a margin of 81.24 percent.
Proposition A increases the tax levy rate from 10 cents to 12 cents per each $100 of assessed valuation with proceeds being used to support existing services.
Contested school board races were held in three school districts. The top two vote recipients were elected in each race.
For the Moniteau R-I School District, California, votes from all precincts were: Rhonda Meyer 455; Kyle Wirts 444; and Derek VanLoo 460. Cole County precincts in the school district are included.
For the Cole County R-I School District, Russellville, votes from Moniteau and Cole County voters totaled as follows: Shawn L. Ehrhardt 285, James R. Case 236 and Paul Buschjost 199.
For the Tipton R-6 School District, votes from all precincts in the county were: Karla Pettigrew 151; Kenneth Stover 117; Robert (Bo) Helms 132; and Chris "Goob" Allee 123. Cooper County and Morgan County precincts in the school district were not available as of reporting time.

• Use Tax: 181 yes; 75 no.
Jamestown Fire District
• Rural Fire Protection District tax levy increase: 217 yes; 64 no.
