The Jefferson City Jays opened Class 4 district tennis tournament play Monday in fine style.
The Jays dropped just two games in rolling to a 5-0 victory against the Sedalia Smith-Cotton Tigers at Washington Park.
David Claussen, David Steinmeyer, Spencer Bone and Joey Mendez all won their matches 6-0, 6-0. Dane Biesmeyer was a 6-2, 6-0 winner for Jefferson City.
Josh Morris of the Jays won his singles match 6-0, 6-1.
Jefferson City (14-8) will play Hickman in the district semifinals at 4 p.m Wednesday in Columbia.

The Helias Crusaders had their district opening match postponed Monday.
Helias will play today at 4 p.m. at Camdenton.
