NEW BLOOMFIELD, Mo. - One game in, and the Fatima bats are in midseason form.
The Comets racked up 19 runs in a five-inning game, ripping St. Elizabeth 19-0 to open the Show-Me Conference Tournament on Thursday.
Matt Temmen went 4-for-4, including a two-run home run, and drove in five runs to pace the offense. Two other Comets went 4-for-4 - Zach Hudspeth and Reid Kesel - with Hudspeth driving in two runs and Kesel plating one.
Also for Fatima, Hunter Hennier was 3-for-3 with three RBI, Will Robertson was 3-for-4 with two RBI and Alex Dickneite had a three-run home run.
Kesel was also the winning pitcher.
Fatima will play two games Saturday in the tournament.
