SPRINGFIELD - Erin Struemph has earned another honor from the Missouri Valley Conference.
Struemph (St. Elizabeth High School) has been selected as the conference's Newcomer of the Week for the second time this season, it was announced Monday.
The freshman also earned that honor last month.
Struemph tossed her league-leading third complete game shutout of the season as part of another stellar week of performances. On the week, she had a win, a save, 12 strikeouts and a 0.00 earned run average while allowing just three infield hits in 112/3 innings of work.
