JC man charged with selling drugs near LU

A Jefferson City man is charged with selling drugs near Lincoln University.

Melvin Nunley Jr., 29, 1019 East Dunklin Street, is charged for three incidents that occurred between Nov. and Dec. of last year.

Jefferson City police used a reliable confidential informant to conduct sales of heroin from Nunley.

A total of five baggies containing substances that field tested for heroin were recovered.

There was also an incident where the informant purchased crack cocaine from Nunley.

Two of the sales occurred at a residence in the 800 block of Locust Street near Sherman Hall on the Lincoln campus.

The other sale occurred in the 1000 block of East Dunklin Street near Dawson Hall on the Lincoln campus.
