Jefferson City's spring 2014 citywide residential large bulky items collection will begin in late April.
Pickup for residents west of Jefferson Street will begin April 28 and run through May 2. Collection will coincide with regular trash and recycling collection schedules for households. Items must be on the curb by 5 a.m.
Items at houses east of Jefferson Street will be picked up from May 5-9 with regular trash and recycling schedules. Items must be at the curb by 5 a.m.
Items that will be picked up include: furniture, large bulky items, televisions, microwaves, tied bundles of scrap material under 4 feet and mattresses.
Items not included in pickup are: bags or boxes of debris, household trash or garbage not in carts, appliances, tires, yard waste, lumber or guttering longer than 4 feet, rocks, brick, concrete, waste oil, car parts and acid batteries.
