TJMS seventh grader suspended

A seventh-grade male student at Thomas Jefferson Middle School has been disciplined after inappropriately touching a female student on March 5.

Jefferson City Public School District officials said the incident didn't come to the principal's attention until much later.

Parents of the students involved were contacted.

Per school board policy, the student in question may receive up to 10 days suspension and be referred to the superintendent for further discipline.
