A seventh-grade male student at Thomas Jefferson Middle School has been placed on long-term suspension after attacking a school resource officer Monday afternoon.
School officials said it occurred as the student was being disciplined for another incident just before 3 p.m.
The student is also facing possible charges for attacking the officer.
