Judge: Casey Kasem's daughter in charge of care

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. (AP) - A Washington state judge is putting Casey Kasem's daughter, Kerri Kasem, in charge of his medical care, in consultation with doctors.

All members of the ailing radio personality can still visit him at a hospital - just not at the same time.

The 82-year-old Kasem is in critical condition with an infected bedsore at St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, Washington.

In a statement, Kerri Kasem's spokesman said Friday that Kasem's health is declining and he "won't be with us much longer."

The Kitsap Sun reports (http://is.gd/3T59Js ) that Kitsap County Superior Court Judge Jennifer Forbes ruled Friday that a California court order naming Kerri Kasem as temporary conservator for her father prevails in the case.

The judge ordered separate visitation times because of the animosity between Casey Kasem's wife, Jean, and her husband's children.
