4 area residents injured in accidents

A Stover woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 2:57 p.m. Tuesday on Missouri 52, west of Route FF, in Morgan County.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2010 Ford pickup, driven westbound by Brenda L. Bloomberg, 63, Stover, was making a right-hand turn into a private drive. A 2013 Chevrolet truck, driven westbound by Jacob D. Knierim, 24, Sedalia, failed to yield to the Bloomberg vehicle and struck the vehicle at an angle and then struck a telephone pedestal and utility pole.

Bloomberg was taken to Capital Region Medical Center.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

• Two Fulton women were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 3:18 p.m. Tuesday on Route J at Saratoga Drive in Callaway County.

The patrol reported a 1998 Subaru Forester, driven westbound by Sarah M. Lortz, 39, made a left turn into the path of a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer, driven southbound by Uriah R. Osterhoff, 25, New Bloomfield. The front of the Osterhoff vehicle struck the right side of the Lortz vehicle, causing both vehicles to go off the right side of the road.

Lortz and Angela M Osterhoff, 35, Fulton, were taken to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

Everyone was wearing seat belts.

• An Eldon woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday on Route ZZ east of St. James in Crawford County.

The patrol reported a 2003 Oldsmobile van, driven westbound by Sandra M. Huff, 21, was struck in the side by a deer.

Huff was taken to Phelps County Regional Medical Center.
