CUBA, Mo. - The Helias Lady Crusaders suffered a 36-32 loss to Cuba in overtime on Thursday night.
Helias trailed 15-12 at halftime, but the Lady Crusaders outscored Cuba 7-0 in the third quarter to take a 19-15 lead into the final period. The Lady Wilcats outscored Helias 11-7 in the fourth quarter and 10-6 in the extra period to hold off the Lady Crusaders.
Meghan Nappier scored 12 points to lead Helias.
The Crusaders (11-6) will face Borgia in the first round of the Parkway South Tournament on Monday.
Helias won the JV game 51-17.
Morgan Wieberg paced the Lady Crusaders with 10 points.
Helias (12-2) plays in the Russellville Tournament next week.
