Girls Basketball: Chamois 49, St. Elizabeth 45

ST. ELIZABETH, Mo. - Alison Mehmert and Paige Nolte combined for 41 points to help the Chamois Lady Pirates post a 49-45 win against St. Elizabeth on Thursday night.

Mehmert scored a game-high 22 points in the contest, which featured five ties and 14 lead changes. Nolte chipped in with 19 for the Lady Pirates.

Chamois trailed 13-6 after one quarter, but came back to tie it at 20 by halftime. The Lady Pirates led 31-30 after three quarters.

Allie Heckemeyer led St. Elizabeth with 17 points and seven rebounds, and she also had two assists to give her 500 for her career. Savannah Stiles added 14 points for the Lady Hornets and Payton Holtmeyer had eight.

Chamois (7-6, 1-0 Show-Me Conference) will host South Callaway on Saturday, while St. Elizabeth (7-6, 2-2) will play Monday at Tuscumbia.
