WESTPHALIA, Mo. - Morgan Brandt scored her 1,000th career point as the Fatima Lady Comets held off Blair Oaks for a 64-55 win in the third-place game at the Fatima Tournament on Friday night.
Brandt poured in a game-high 30 points, while Kate Massman added 12 points to help lead the attack for the Lady Comets (8-4).
Fatima trailed 10-7 after the first quarter, but outscored Blair Oaks 18-14 to take a 25-24 lead into the break. The Comets used a 15-point third quarter to take a 40-32 advantage into the final period.
LeeAnn Polowy scored 21 points and Lauren Viessman added 15 to lead Blair Oaks (9-5), which travels Monday to Hallsville.
Fatima will host New Bloomfield on Tuesday.
