TJMS 7th-graders punished for trying to sell fake drugs

Jefferson City Public School officials said three seventh-grade boys have received in-school discipline for trying to sell a fake drug to fellow students.

School district reports show the students tried to sell the fake drugs while on a bus carrying Thomas Jefferson Middle School students Thursday. One of the boys had some aspirin, but the group came up with a plan to try and sell the pills to other students, saying it was a stronger drug.

Other students overheard the boys and told school officials, who then confronted the three.

School officials did not say what the students were trying to pass the aspirin off as nor what discipline the boys received.
