CALIFORNIA, Mo. - The California Pintos closed the regular season Friday night with a 59-38 victory against the Tipton Cardinals.
The Pintos held a 15-13 lead after one period and took a 32-27 advantage into intermission. Leading 41-34 after three quarters, California outscored Tipton 18-4 in the final period.
Austin Gump led California with 12 points.
California (17-7) will face Hallsville in the opening round of the Class 3 District 8 Tournament at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Wardsville. The Pintos are the No. 4 seed.
