Russellville students to celebrate FFA week

RUSSELLVILLE, Mo. - National FFA Week will kick-off in Russellville with Cole County R-1 High School chapter members attending Corticelli Baptist Church today in official dress.

Students will play shop hockey in the agriculture building Monday. And they are encouraged to dress up as their favorite ag commodity.

Pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage will be served at 7 a.m. Tuesday in the wood shop for a Community Appreciation Breakfast. Members will dress in blue and gold.

Wednesday they will wear their official dress and bring pies for school faculty.

Animals and equipment will be exhibited at the elementary school Thursday for the annual Barnyard Day.

And the chapter will hold a blood drive for the American Red Cross 1:30-5:30 p.m. Friday in the wood shop.

Russellville and Jamestown FFA chapters will join up Saturday to end the week with a ski trip.
