Bullying seminar set for Saturday

Out of growing concern for the safety and future of the community's youth, Second Baptist Church will host a bullying prevention seminar.

"Bullying: What We Can Do as a Community to Stop It" will be led by the professional agency Lifesong for Growth and Wellness at 10 a.m. Saturday at 501 Miller St.

Life Song offers uplifting and fresh approaches to help individuals improve thoughts, feelings, behaviors and relationships.

Professionals from the fields of mental health, education and juvenile justice will be available to speak with those who attend.

A panel discussion will address direct questions as well as general information, such as the definition and warning signs of bullying.

"As we strive to help our clients grow, we invest in continued professional growth of our clinicians by keeping up-to-date on the latest research and methods of treatment," said Counselor Erika Barrett.

Registration and a continental breakfast begin at 9 a.m.
